Carver's passion for innovation and DIY heritage collide in the new Surfrider surfskate, a tribute to the creativity and carving spirit of 1960s sidewalk surfing. Inspired by watching classic footage of barefoot groms carving down hills, we crafted a limited batch of these unique surfskates in-house, featuring hand-cut decks, trimmed C5 trucks, and soft wheels for a fun, smooth ride – sharing a piece of surfing history with a modern twist. From the mind of Neil Carver himself, we are stoked to introduce this everyday cruiser.
Neil Carver’s meticulous approach to crafting the 60’s inspired Surfrider surfskate reflects his passion for surfskating innovation. He began by hand-drawing the deck shape, inspired by the narrow sidewalk surfers of the 1960s, ensuring it captured the authentic retro feel. To perfect the ride, Neil hand-cut the mini C5 trucks down to 4 inches, balancing agility and stability. Throughout the process, he oversaw every detail, from the custom finishes to the selection of soft 65mm Roundhouse wheels, creating the ultimate sidewalk surfer that blends nostalgic style with modern performance. This hands-on craftsmanship guarantees each Surfrider surfskate is a unique and high-quality piece, embodying Carver's commitment to excellence and individuality.

C5 TRUCKS
Skateboarders have invented many great tricks since the early days, and a truly modern surfskate needs to incorporate this history of progression. And so the C5 System (C5 front, C4 rear) is shorter and narrower, lowering the center of gravity and giving the tail more pop. You get higher ollies, and better control.
And the narrower hanger and deck keep it light and maneuverable. This is the next generation of surfskate, blending tricks and flow into a complex, creative expression across the urban landscape. We’ve made two completes with an equally versatile street board mold made to give you the best of both worlds.

Carver Surfskates
