Popular around the world. It was one of the original, modern “groveler” specific shapes, that caught fire  around the world. It flies around and moves on top of flat water with ease ...thus the name, PUDDLE JUMPER. Its significant width, low rocker, forward outline, with wide nose and tail, make paddling, catching waves and skating along on small waves a breeze. Fast and drivey, with plenty of lift, the magic comes from the hyper-curved rail line rocker, which runs parallel to the stringer, near the nose, then exaggerates into a deep single concave, that swoops back down to a significant vee, under the rear foot. This high arcing rail line, with double concave vee in the tail, creates a lively ride and turns the relatively flat board into a turning machine, especially once put on rail. There’s enough curve in the accelerating rail rocker, to loosen up and transform The Original Puddle Jumper, from a typical flat little plank into a mini-performance machine, allowing turns in 1’-2’ waves that you wouldn’t believe you could do. We had not adjusted the design in years, simply re-sizing for custom orders, as retailers slowly stopped stocking them, in lieu of newer models. With the constant updating and releasing of new models and designs (many of them derivatives of “The Original” PUDDLE JUMPER) it somehow got lost in the mix... Relegated to custom orders and a few smart shops who still stocked them. We feel the time has come to bring back some of our best models like the Puddle Jumper, from the past and give them a subtle make-over. Considering the new builds and techs we’ve been working with the last 5 years, it makes perfect sense to finally offer them in some of our classic models, releasing them in the new, modern materials and ride characteristics currently being built in our factories. Builds like #BlackSheep, #LightSpeed and #DoubleDart hunger for “The Original” PUDDLE JUMPER... but let’s not discount good ol’ PU/PE, with a thin flexi-stringer. Not a full re-design, nor a major up-date (which would require a new name and lots of RnD) but a smooth and simple “Digital Re-Master” to the older CAD files. Not wanting to inherently change this iconic design, we went in and “Re-mastered” each size, fine tuning the files to cut, clean and shine in a new way. Dims and details stayed on point with the past, but subtle curves cleaned up for ease of shaping, manufacturing and end use enjoyment. Along with the Digitally Re-Mastered files, we brought the branding up to pace with modern taste and designed a fresh new package, with subdued, stylish colors built into smaller sized logos and an awesome little design package, to finish this refresh in a wonderful way. Woven Carbon Fiber Centerline “Stringer” (top and bottom): Engineered to add both strength and Rapid-Reflex “pop”, with just enough release to feel forgiving underfoot. The Carbon loads up under foot pressure, and springs upon release. Fused Carbon, Tail Reinforcement Patches: Transfers more direct input into rail and adds strength. Centerline Aligned Carbon “Exo-Stringers”: Enable natural Torsional Twist, similar to a wood stringer board, but lighter, and with a much faster reflex reaction and more “pop”.
